About us

Keith Shanahan has been involved in the motor trade working in main dealerships for many years, starting out as an apprentice he has progressed to fully qualified mechanic and then held the position of service manager before deciding to start his own business in 2008. He was delighted when the opportunity arose to take over his current premises in Ballyedmond in 2011. This "working garage" had served the local community for many decades and it is our hope that it will for many more.

Our dedicated team of professionals who have vast experience, knowledge and training of working on motorcycles, cars, commercials, even heavy plant & machinery and this is utilised daily in our work.

We are constantly expanding our range of services.

We frequently work on classic vehicles, modified and performance vehicles, specially adapted vehicles, campers and mini buses.

At Shanahan Auto Services we take our obligations to the enviroment very seriously, all waste products are disposed of responsibly in an environmentally friendly manner.

Modern cars are packed full of electrical components and we have the capability to sort out almost any issues you may have using the very latest diagnostics equipment and technical data. We are fully insured to work on and test drive customers vehicles.

We stock a large range of parts such as air, oil & fuel filters, wipers, bulbs, oils, air fresheners, fuel additives, nuts, bolts, washers, batteries etc. If a part is required to be ordered in we quite often can have it delivered the same day which means our customers are not off the road for any longer than necessary. We only use top quality O.E parts made to the same specification of original equipment/genuine parts. We only use recommended engine oils/lubricants  and carry out services as per manufacturers recommendations or to a higher specification if required.

We supply, fit and balance new tyres and can carry out puncture repairs and balancing on customers own tyres/ wheels.

We are also suppliers of BG automobile performance enhancing service products, fuel/oil additives cleaning solutions and maintenance lubricants.

We are authorised to supply and fit Fi International certified motorcycle restrictor kits.

At Shanahan Auto Services we provide a fast, friendly and value for money solution for your vehicle repairs & servicing. Based in Ballyedmond we pride ourselves on doing a good job for our customers and our belief is simple, a happy customer is a customer for life.

With a small team of mechanics we offer a more personal service than most in the car industry with a mixture of the latest diagnostic equipment and the more traditional style of garage where you will know your mechanic by his first name. Although well equipped with diagnostic equipment and the knowledge to use it effectively we still haven't abandoned our old trade skills, we tackle a massive range of jobs on a daily basis and are not afraid of good old fashioned hard work!
